KTMF optimistic about trade growth under Omar Abdullah's leadership - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 16: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) today participated in the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed government and extended its heartfelt congratulations to Omar Abdullah on his appointment as the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir. KTMF incumbent president Muhammad Yaseen Khan was accompanied by Bashir Ahmad Rather & Qazi Tauseef.

Welcoming the new government, “KTMF expressed its optimism about the future of trade & commerce under the leadership of Omar Abdullah. We look forward in collaborating with the administration to address key concerns facing traders and manufacturers, including economic revitalization, infrastructural development & policy reforms that can stimulate growth in J&K”, Khan said.

   

“We urge the new government to take reformative measures aimed at the upliftment of small-time traders and shopkeepers. This section of the business community are the backbone of our economy and it is crucial that policies are implemented to support their growth and sustainability. Providing better access to financial assistance, easing regulatory burdens, and ensuring a level playing field are some of the key areas where attention is needed.” Khan said.

“We are confident that under the leadership of Omar Abdullah the government will take substantial steps towards fostering a conducive environment for businesses in Kashmir. KTMF is committed to working with the administration to ensure sustainable development for all stakeholders in the trade and manufacturing sectors”, Khan said.
