IND vs NZ: Virat Kohli bowled out for 1 run, Fans disappointed

Bhubaneswar: Virat Kohli continued to disappoint his fans after he got cleaned bowled in the IND vs NZ 2nd test in Pune. The batter was taken out by Mitchell Santner for just 1 run. This has left his fans dismayed. The Indian star batter came to bat in the morning session after Shubman Gill, who got dismissed LBW for 30 runs.

While batting on his 9th ball of the innings, Kohli misjudged the trajectory of the ball, which cost him his wickets. The cricketer failed to perform well in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand.

On the 9th ball, Kohli tried to deliver a full swing delivery, but missed the ball as through the gap between his bat and barreled into the stumps. The fans as well as Virat himself were left stunned by this. Then he was declared bowled out and had to walk back to the pavilion.

Since year 2021, the player has been taken out by spinners in Asia several times. Kohli has gone on to score 606 runs in 26 innings. Meanwhile, he had been dismissed a total of 21 times during this time. In these games, he averages 28.85 and had a strike-rate of 49.67.

Recently, Kohli was replaced in the ICC Test rankings for batters by fellow player Rishabh Pant.

Meanwhile, India has not fared well in the match against New Zealnad. In the first innings, Washington Sundar was the top wicket-taker for India as he bagged 7 wickets while Ashwin complemented him with 3 scalps as the Kiwis were bowled out for 259.

Even India captain Rohit Sharma failed to put up a big score on the board, was dismissed for a duck on the 9th ball he faced.
