CBSE Board Exam 2025: Class 10, 12 practical exam dates announced, details here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the practical exam dates for classes 10 and 12, which will commence on January 1, 2025.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates for the practical exams for the class 10 and class 12 board exams 2025. As per the official notification, the CBSE practical exams for both classes are set to start in January 2025, beginning on January 1.

Meanwhile, the theoretical exams for CBSE class 10 and class 12 are scheduled to start on February 15, 2025.

"The Practical Examinations/ IA for class X and XIl and the Board's Annual Theory Examinations are scheduled to start w.e.f. 01/01/2025 and 15/02/2025 respectively," reads the official notice.

It has been observed that schools sometimes make mistakes while uploading the marks in respect of Practical/Project/internal assessment.

Further, to aid and assist the schools in the smooth conduct of practical/project/internal assessment and conduct of theoretical examinations, a list of subjects for classes 10 and 12 containing the following details is attached with this circular for information:

• Class
• Subject code
• Subject name
• Maximum marks in theoretical examination
• Maximum marks in practical examination
• Maximum marks project assessment
• Maximum marks internal assessment (|A)
• Whether an external examiner will be appointed for practical/project assessment
• Whether a practical answer-book will be provided by the board
• Type of answer book that will be used in theoretical examinations

NOTE: "Maximum marks allotted to each subject are 100 with marks distribution among theory, practical, project and IA components as per the details given in the list," it adds.

For CBSE winter-bound schools, the practical exams for the CBSE Board 2025 will take place between November 5 and December 5, 2024. The board has also issued SOPs and guidelines for conducting the Practical Examination, Project, and Internal Assessments in these schools, which will remain closed during January 2025.
