Veteran Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad's daughter, Gayatri, died in the early morning of Saturday, October 5, following a cardiac stroke. Gayatri was 38 years old and was admitted to AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad at the time of her death.

Gayatri's untimely death was mourned by the Telugu film industry, including celebrities such as Nani and Jr NTR. The Saripodhaa Sanivaraam actor shared a post on his official X handle and expressed his grief at the news.

His post read, "Deepest condolences to Rajendra Prasad gaaru and his family. This is heartbreaking (sic)."

Gayatri reported experiencing chest pain late last night (October 4) and was promptly taken to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad for treatment. Sadly, despite receiving immediate medical attention, she died in the early hours of this morning.

Gayatri is survived by her husband and daughter.
