Devara worldwide box office Day 1 prediction: Bumper opening for Jr NTR after RRR

Devara: Part One is expected to open at over Rs 125 crore gross worldwide on its first day. The Jr NTR-starrer is going to create new records for the actor everywhere, considering the fantastic pre-sales business.

Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor's Devara: Part One hit the screens today, September 27. The film is riding on a huge buzz and a terrific performance in advance sales. It is set for a brilliant opening worldwide with an expected collection in the range of Rs 120-125 crore gross. For Jr NTR, it is going to be his second-biggest opener after the globally acclaimed RRR.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the film sold around 15.27 lakh tickets in India to earn a gross of Rs 38.84 crore gross by the end of its pre-sales business for the first day. As reported by the trade website Sacnilk, it collected Rs 54.27 crore gross including block seats in India. Worldwide, the film surpassed all the expectations, recording over Rs 85 crore gross in the final advance booking for the opening day, out of which around Rs 30 crore gross came from the overseas market alone.

The trade website further reported that Devara has already minted over Rs 90 crore gross in its advance sales for the opening weekend. The action drama is expected to have solid opening day figures today, enough to record the second-biggest opening for an Indian film in 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD. The Prabhas-starrer opened at over Rs 175 crore gross on its first day at the worldwide box office and Devara: Part One will be right behind it.

Produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, the film is largely receiving positive reviews from the masses, and that will help it sustain its performance after the first weekend is over. Apart from Jr NTR and Janhvi, Devara also features Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shruti Marathe and Shine Tim Chacko, among others. It has seen a wide release in the Hindi market as well.
