Actor Bala let out on bail, asked to stop commenting on wife, daughter

Malayalam actor Bala has been granted conditional bail, hours after his arrest. The Kerala police took him into custody after a complaint from ex-wife, Amrutha Suresh.

Actor Bala was granted conditional bail by Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate court hours after his arrest on October 14. A case was registered against him on the complaint of his ex-wife, Amrutha Suresh. In her complaint, she claimed that Bala was defaming and insulting her and her daughter, Avantika. Bala and his manager, Rajesh, were taken into custody on October 14 in Kochi.

Bala has been prohibited from making any statement about his ex-wife or his daughter. He was also asked to be available for questioning whenever the officers call him.

On October 14, Bala was arrested by the Kadavanthra police after his ex-wife Amrutha Suresh accused him of insulting her and her daughter through social media posts. She also claimed that Bala's latest interviews and videos caused harm to their 12-year-old daughter, Avantika. She further stated that Bala was giving paid online interviews about her and her daughter.

Bala was charged under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act. After the case was registered on October 12, Bala and his manager were taken into custody from the actor's residence in Kochi.

Bala and his ex-wife, Amrutha, have been having problems for the past few months. Earlier, he alleged that his ex-wife wasn't allowing him to see his daughter. However, Amrutha and Avantika shared a video on Instagram explaining how they are facing issues because of Bala.

Bala is an actor and director in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. Some of his best works include Puthiya Mukham, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Pulimurugan, Veeram and Lucifer, among others.
