Ballerina trailer: Ana de Armas seeks help from Keanu Reeves' John Wick

The first trailer of 'From the world of John Wick: Ballerina' is here. The film stars Ana de Armas in the lead role and features a special appearance by John Wick star Keanu Reeves.

John Wick and Keanu Reeves fans, we have some good news. The first trailer of From the world of John Wick: Ballerina is here. The film stars Ana de Armas in the lead and will feature a special appearance by John Wick himself, Keanu Reeves.

The trailer, no surprise, is brimming with thrilling action and de Armas looks more than capable of taking on the mantle of an action queen.

There is one shot of Keanu which stands out in the video, in which we see only his retreating side profile going down a flight of stairs. We see him as Ana's character does in that moment -- a looming, shadowy, mysterious but powerful figure who can teach our heroine not only a few gun-fighting skills, but some life lessons about grieving, blaming and taking revenge.

As soon as the trailer was shared, a bunch of fans reacted positively to it, with one writing, "Yesss, Ana De Armas meets Keanu Reeves again, just like in Knock Knock Movie (sic)." Another joked, "I was very disappointed that her reason was her dead father and not a dead cat," referencing how Reeves' motivation to go on a killing spree in John Wick franchise was his dead dog. "Keanue Reeves will play John Wick until he's 90," one user lightly remarked.

Apart from Ana and Keanu, Ballerina also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, and Ian McShane in significant parts.

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina releases in cinemas on June 6 next year.
