A video has surfaced showing the arrest of the second accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. The video shows Mumbai police taking the accused into custody late Saturday night. He, along with two associates, shot and killed Siddique, and was found hiding in bushes near the crime scene after jumping a nearby fence.

The India Today team was present when the second accused was arrested by the police. Authorities recovered a bag from him, which contained a gun and ammunition, according to the police.

As the accused was led away by police, he was heard shouting, "Don’t hit me", in fear of the crowd that had gathered at the scene.

India Today also spoke to a local watchman who had witnessed the accused hiding after the shooting. The watchman pointed out the exact location where the man had concealed himself after carrying out the murder.

The 66-year-old leader was shot dead while leaving his office for his residence in Bandra West on Saturday night. A total of six rounds of bullets were fired at Baba Siddique, three of which hit him. The NCP leader was declared dead upon being brought to the hospital.

Two accused--Gurmail Baljit Singh, 23, from Haryana and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, 19, from Uttar Pradesh--have been arrested, while the third one--Shiv Kumar from UP--is on the run. Teams from the Mumbai Crime Branch have left for five locations outside the state, including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, to apprehend the third accused.

The arrested accused claimed during interrogation that they belonged to the gang of Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster currently in jail, Crime Branch sources said.
