"That was the important thing to show the spirit in the team. Everyone competed as much as they could. That's a pleasing thing to see. You never have everyone available throughout the season. It's important everyone coming in is ready to go when they're ready," Evans added.

However, with the team’s European competition form in a troubling state—they haven't won a European match in their last 10 games—ten Hag’s future may hinge on the outcome of upcoming fixtures.

One key match in particular, United’s clash against Turkish side Fenerbahce on October 25, is seen as pivotal for the manager's future at the club.
