Joker: Folie à Deux is out today in theaters, and the film pairs Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga on a musical take on the murderous misdeeds of the clown prince of crime. Lady Gaga released a companion album, Harlequin on Sept. 27, which is now getting a vinyl release. The vinyl and CD are dropping on Oct. 11 and can be pre-ordered now.

The companion album features many of the songs from the film, but it’s not a soundtrack album in the traditional sense. Where the soundtrack features intentionally loose sketches of classic showtunes and duets between Phoenix and Gaga, Harlequin is the polished take on jazz standards that Lady Gaga has become known for in the last decade, particularly through her collaborations with the late Tony Bennett.

The film was met with mixed reviews, with Rolling Stone’s David Fear giving props to the film for its decision to “tap-dance down a road less traveled,” but questioning “Who, exactly, is Joker: Folie à Deux for?” The companion album, on the other hand, received a positive appraisal from Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield, who singled out one of Gaga’s originals on the album, “Happy Mistake,” writing “She taps into the connection between her alter ego Harley Quinn and herself, hiding her pain behind makeup and costumes so the show can go on…”

In fact, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to argue that Harlequin is worthwhile even among non-DC fans — little monsters and fans of the Great American Songbook alike can find something to appreciate in Harlequin. The 13-track album features two new songs, “Happy Mistake,” and “Folie à Deux,” and you can see the full vinyl tracklist below.
