Well, Amitabh Bachchan once defended his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan when she rejected a big film. When filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar expressed his disappointment for feeling sidelined in the planning of Heroine alongside her. Amitabh Bachchan backed Aishwarya. An old conversation of Amitabh Bachchan with a media portal went viral on social media. He did not hold back the fact that his daughter-in-law backed out of a film which caused them Rs 18 crore loss.

The Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan even spoke his heart out about Aishwarya Rai’s sudden withdrawal from Heroine and called it misleading. Big B stressed that every actor has a right to marry and begin a family. He even said that it should have been known that Aishwarya was married when she signed the film. He even went ahead to question that isn’t it reasonable to expect actors to refrain from weddings or bearing children while working on a project.

In 2011, Madhur Bhandarkar was all set to cast Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Heroine film. When the production was about to begin, there were rumours that Aishwarya Rai had been pregnant for four months. Madhur was infuriated when he heard the news and said that if ge had known earlier the entire team would have adapted to Rai’s schedule keeping in mind her pregnancy. Aishwarya made exit from the film and caused a havoc and the production house had to bear a massive financial loss.

Later, makers roped in Kareena Kapoor Khan to play the role of Mahi in Heroine film. Well, Aishwarya got married to Abhishek Bachchan on April 20, 2007 and the two welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan on November 16, 2011.
