"Aaj ki Raat, Maza betting ka lijiye", Tamannaah Bhatia called in for ED Investigation

Tamannaah Bhatia is in the news and there have been reports that she has been called by the ED for investigation in the money laundering case related to HPZ Token App.

Tamannaah Bhatia recently impressed everyone with her performance in Stree 2. She was just gorgeous in Aaj Ki Raat song. The video went viral and everyone was impressed with her expressions and dance moves. The actress has been in the news since then. However, currently, she is in the news for wrong reasons. She is being questioned by the ED in the money laundering case related to HPZ Token App. As per the ED, ‘dummy’ directors of various fake companies opened bank accounts and merchant IDs. Raids happened in the country and immovable property and deposits were seized worth Rs 455 crore.

Under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Tamannaah Bhatia’s statement was recorded at the ED’s regional office. As per reports, the actress received some amount as a celebrity in the company’s program. However, there are no criminal charges against her. In the same case, many investors were reportedly cheated. They were promised high returns through Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This is a big story in Entertainment News.

ED has filed a chargesheet against 299 companies which has around 76 Chinese-controlled companies, with 10 Chinese-origin directors, and two entities controlled by foreign nationals. This began after a complaint was filed by the Kohima Police’s Cyber Crime Unit.

Charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act have been levelled against the accused for cheating investors.
