Devara Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and others, is now out in theatres. Directed by Koratala Siva, the Telugu pan-India film showcases NTR in double roles of Devara and Vara. Saif plays the villain Bhaira and Janhvi is seen as Thangam. The rest of the cast includes Shruti Marathe, Talluri Rameswari, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain. The runtime of the movie is 178 minutes. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the action thriller.

The story is set in the Ratnagiri village situated at the Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border. Amidst the sea and mountains, 4 villages are located that have sworn to protect the sea against anyone who tries to cause any harm. However, what happens when the protectors become the main reason for the villagers losing their lives? That's where Devara decides to stand up for the right thing, even if it means going against the men with whom he used to fight at the sea.

The first half focuses more on Devara and what led to Devara and Bhaira's (Saif Ali Khan) enmity. It is packed with several action sequences, mostly at the sea. The fight sequences and the simultaneous drama keep you engrossed with Jr NTR's powerful performance. It is fast-paced and intense, and the BGM only elevates the narrative to an interesting level. The pre-interval block is a lengthy fight sequence that shows us how the sea became the Red Sea and it leaves you with great curiosity to know what's going to happen in the second half.

Devara Part 1 has many solid elements packed in the first half. Our protagonist brings in the terror that's needed and engulfs all the villages. So how is Bhaira going to deal with Devara's wrath? How is it going to affect all the villages? That's something to look forward to in the second half.
