Prince Harry's five biggest fall-outs after meeting Meghan Markle - from brother to celeb pals

by · Irish Mirror

Prince Harry has allegedly had a falling out with at least five individuals who were once integral parts of his life before he met Meghan Markle in 2016.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, parents to two children, are said to be "going their own ways" professionally, as per numerous Royal experts.

The pair, married since 2018, are reportedly now leading separate professional lives, with the Duke's circle of friends also having changed since their nuptials. After announcing their decision to step back from their roles as senior working royals, Meghan and Harry have set up home in California, a whopping 5,000 miles away from their previous UK life.

Here we explore five close relationships that Harry seems to have lost since tying the knot with Meghan.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Despite being previously labelled as the 'fab four' alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it appears that the Duke of Sussex is no longer on speaking terms with his brother.

Reports also suggest that Harry hasn't spoken to his sister-in-law, whom he once referred to as "the sister he'd never had", as the Express reported.

Discussing Lord Robert Fellowes' funeral, which both Harry and William attended in August, Royal expert Phil Dampier told Fabulous: "They are as far apart as ever and William's priority is to look after Kate as she recovers from abdominal surgery and to step up his royal duties to cover for the King. But it does seem odd that Harry likes flying in and out for less than two days."

"He did the same with the Coronation and it looks as though he is just not interested in seeing any of his old friends. He has become Harry No Mates as far as the UK is concerned."

Dampier added: "This may be because some of his friends in England didn't take to Meghan and he resented it so he has cut them out of his life."

Victoria and David Beckham

Victoria and David Beckham, who were once close friends of Meghan and Harry, have also seen their friendship with the couple strain. In 2018, Harry allegedly accused the Beckhams of leaking stories, which was said to have left David "furious".

David was also "snubbed" by Harry after flying from London to Sydney at the royal's request to attend the 2018 Invictus Games. David appears to have formed a closer bond with Prince William.

Richard Eden, the Daily Mail's diary editor, has revealed that David and Victoria Beckham are not exactly thrilled with Harry and Meghan's public criticisms of the Royal family.

He shared: "So it is, perhaps, no surprise that the Sussexes' attacks on the Royal Family failed to impress the Beckhams."

"'Both David and Victoria put great importance on family and would never, ever turn on their relations the way that Harry and Meghan did,' one of their associates tells me. The truth is that Victoria never really liked Meghan much. She was friendly and welcoming to her but is not bothered about staying in touch.'"

Dominic West

In another Royal friendship gone sour, Prince Harry has apparently severed ties with his former actor buddy Dominic West. After Dominic recounted an incident where they allegedly drank champagne from a prosthetic leg, Harry, who is now 40, is said to have been furious.

The 'Crown' actor hasn't heard from the prince since he spilled the beans back in 2014. A friend of West mentioned in 2022: "He accused Dominic of invading his privacy. Dominic told him not to be ridiculous. They haven't spoken since."
