Kylian Mbappe 'unhappy with Carlo Ancelotti' as he tells friends of Real Madrid discontent

Kylian Mbappe is growing unhappy with Carlo Ancelotti's management amid his struggles at Real Madrid.

Mbappe arrived at Los Blancos in the summer in a blockbuster free transfer from PSG. While he is yet to hit his best form, the Frenchman has scored eight goals in 15 appearances in all competitions.

But there is some tension over his role at Madrid, with Ancelotti deploying the superstar as a central forward rather than his preferred position out wide. Mbappe's move has co-incided with a major downturn in form for Madrid as well.

Los Blancos are nine points adrift of La Liga leaders Barcelona, having been hammered in El Clasico, and were well-beaten at home to AC Milan in the Champions League in midweek. To cap that off, Mbappe was left out of the France squad for the November internationals.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Mbappe is 'not happy' with the style of football Madrid are producing. He is also discontented with Ancelotti's tactical system, with the Italian coming under increasing pressure.

It is said that that Mbappe has made his feelings of unhappiness clear to his close friends. The Frenchman is still adjusting to his changed role from when he featured for PSG, where he was very much the main point of the team.

Instead at Madrid, the team is not 'playing for him' as PSG's players did. It is claimed that Mbappe's discontent is becoming increasingly clear on the pitch as he misses frequent glaring chances.

Mbappe's poor form led to him being left out of France's squad for their upcoming Nations League games against Israel and Italy. Boss Didier Deschamps pointed to the attacker's struggles as the reason for his absence.

“What I can tell you are two things. That Kylian wanted to come and it’s not non-sporting problems that are taken into account from the moment the presumption of innocence exists and should exist," he said.

"It’s a choice, I repeat, that is occasional, for this camp and the two matches that we have. I’m not going to tell you more for the reason that we have a camp with two matches with a goal that I set myself and which I stay with also, which is important.

"I know that there’s more of a tendency to highlight the negatives, but that’s not specific to the French national team. We’ve had three consecutive wins and we have two objectives in this camp, as well as the one I just told you about being able to share out playing time.

“It’s not going to be interpreted. I repeat: it’s my decision because I think it’s better like that. I can understand that doesn’t suffice for you but I’m not going to enter into a reasoning that leads to interpretations. I’m not going to tell you more. I take responsibility for this decision.”
