Exclusive: The star bought the waterfront beach home in 2016

Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll has sold his luxurious waterfront beach home in Florida for $4.5 million – $1.5 million less than his original asking price.

The creator of the award-winning BBC comedy series sold his 4,178-square-foot home at 1610 Beach Trail in Indian Rocks Beach on February 9 earlier this year, according to Pinellas County property records.

In 2023, Brendan and his wife Jennifer put it on the market for $6 million (approximately €5.5 million) but in February of this year, property records show they sold the house for $4.5 million, $1.5 million less than their asking price. Julie Folden with Coastal Properties Group represented the seller.

The home sits on a 0.27-acre lot and was built in 2013. It features five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms and has several terraces overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

According to the estate agents, the kitchen has a large centre island and top-of-the-line appliances. The home also includes an office and media room. The site includes 75 feet of beachfront, and its outdoor amenities include a heated pool with a hot tub, a large gazebo and a putting green. The property has a private walled and gated entry and a two-car garage.

The stunning beach front home was built in 2013 and Brendan and Jennifer purchased the estate in 2016 for $2.85 million, according to property records. The star also snapped up a row of six more adjacent houses in a street in Davenport and is said to have paid $4 million on the seven properties in total.

The Sun reported at the time: "Two Davenport homes, worth £280,000 and £240,000, are registered to Brendan and his wife, fellow Mrs Brown’s Boys actress Jennifer, 53. A third is registered to Brendan O'Carroll. A fourth, worth £280,000, is registered to Fiona, 37, and Martin, 44. The final two are in the names of Brendan’s sons, Danny, 34, and Eric, 25."
