TV presenter Holly Willoughby has managed to put the terrifying kidnap plot behind her by moving out of her £3 million (€3.5m) family home, which was at the heart of the sinister plan.

Removal vans were spotted this week outside her London residence, just two months after security guard Gavin Plumb was imprisoned for his attempt to ambush the star at her home.

On Friday, removal men were seen at the six-bedroom house in South West London, where Holly has resided for over a decade. A source told The Sun that Holly and her family were ready to move on from their home after the terrifying ordeal.

“The house was central to Plumb’s terrifying plot. It can never feel the same again for Holly and her family. She just wants to move on and put this all behind her.”

Holly, 43, concluded her 14-year run on ITV's This Morning after Plumb's scheme was exposed last year. Brave Holly, who previously posted snaps on social media of her home, said in a statement read out to the court when he was charged: “As women, we should not be made to feel unsafe going about our daily lives and in our own homes."

Plumb, aged 37, had developed an obsession with Holly, who is 43, that lasted over a decade. He amassed a "kidnap kit" consisting of restraints and conducted research on Holly's home.

He allegedly told an undercover cop from the US he had been chatting with online: "We'll jump the outer wall, break-in, chloroform both her and her husband. Tie both up with zip ties and gag both."

His trial revealed that he purchased 400 metal cable ties, as well as bottles of chloroform to incapacitate the celebrity. In 2006, when he was 19, Plumb received a suspended sentence for attempting to kidnap two air stewardesses from trains. Two years later, while working as a security guard, he took two 16-year-old shop girls hostage.

The Mirror has approached Holly's representatives for comment on this story.
