The PUNCH: In a significant cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu approved the re-assignment of 10 ministers to new portfolios, discharged five and nominated seven new others for onward transmission to the Senate for confirmation. This came as the President renamed the Ministry of Nigeria Delta Development to the Ministry of Regional Development, scrapped the Ministry of Sports Development, and merged the Ministries of Tourism and Arts and Culture to become the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy.


The Nation: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday fired five ministers and nominated seven in the first major shakeup of his cabinet a 14 months ago. Out of the Federal aa Council (FEC) are Uju-Ken aa (Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Prof. Tahir Mamman (SAN) (Education), Abdullahi Gwarzo (State, Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Jamila Ibrahim (Youth Development).
