Strictly Come Dancing fans 'thankful' after dance off results leaked online

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left gobsmacked by the latest dance off result if leaked spoilers are to be believed. The result was leaked early but some viewers were pleased with the decision.

The long-standing BBC dance show is currently in its 22nd series - having graced our screens for an impressive 20 years. Strictly aficionados will know that both the Saturday night live show and Sunday night result show are recorded on Saturday night.

There is then an almost 24-hour wait for viewers to discover which celebrity pair and their dance partners have been deemed the week's worst performers and subsequently forced into a nail-biting dance off, as reported by the Mirror.

The unsuccessful duo is then ejected from the show - with the result airing on BBC One on Sunday night. However, for years now, a persistent mole has leaked the result of the dance off hours before it has aired after witnessing the result during real time as the Sunday night show records immediately after the Saturday night live show airs.

And this week the mole has spoiled the result show for fans once again. The party pooper has shared the result via a website and social media, and fans have been left shocked by the couples that were told they had to dance for their glitterball lives.

And what's more, they are stunned by the outcome. While we have elected not to disclose the result to preserve the suspense for the most ardent Strictly devotees, this week's fan responses weren't entirely despondent.

One individual posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Just seen the Strictly spoiler. Thank gosh. Was really worried! " Another commenter agreed: "The strictly spoiler has me going to bed happy! ! Right person left in my opinion."

Nonetheless, not everyone shared the sentiment, with one tweet expressing disappointment: "Devastated at the spoiler tonight. They had so much more to give and improved quite a bit throughout the competition so far #Strictly." And another lamented: "Strictly spoiler has me feeling very sad right now."

As of Saturday night, 11 celebrities and their dance partners were still vying for the title, with the contest approaching its midpoint. Olympic swimmer Tom Dean and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova faced the embarrassment of being the first duo of the 2024 season to be eliminated after losing the dance off at the end of September.

They were soon followed by iconic singer Toyah Willcox and her dance partner Neil Jones. There was disappointment as DIY SOS hunk Nick Knowles became the third star to be voted off the show as he had bravely battled through injury to try to keep his place in the contest. He was shown the door alongside his dance partner Luba Mushtuk in mid-October.

England footballer turned pundit Paul Merson was the fourth star to be voted off along with his partner Karen Hauer. So far, one of the couples to beat in the 2024 season appears to be EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and his dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas as they have routinely scored deep into the 30s following the judges comments.
