Cheryl is reportedly committed to making sure her son Bear grows up knowing all about his late father, One Direction's Liam Payne, according to a source. The pop star tragically passed away after a fall from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last week at the age of 31.

Beyond his celebrity status, he was a loving father to seven year old Bear, whom he welcomed with former partner Cheryl in 2017. Amid what has been described by the Girls Aloud singer as an "indescribably painful time" since Liam's passing, her family is said to be providing immense support so she can stay strong for their son.

"Bear's a mini-Liam - Cheryl's going to make sure he knows everything about his dad as he gets older," revealed an insider to New Idea Magazine.

In a touching tribute to Liam, Cheryl, aged 41, posted a heartwarming photo of the devoted dad and Bear cuddled up in bed. Following her post, many of Cheryl's 3.4 million followers, including celebrities like Amanda Holden, Olly Murs, and Susanna Reid, took to the comments section to offer their sympathies.

Despite parting ways in 2018 after two years together, Liam and Cheryl maintained a friendship, evidenced by the high praise he often gave to Cheryl's parenting in various interviews, reports OK!.

Liam has frequently spoken about his experiences with fatherhood and his son, whose identity is kept private for protection. He reminisced about the early days, saying: "I put my time in with my son and I also like to speak to people who are new dads also because you don't know what's coming and it's different."

"And, you know, to be honest with you, it ruined a relationship for me at that point but for all the right reasons, and it's like you think kids are a blank page [when] they're born. When Bear was first born I was so excited for him to be born, but I thought, what if I don't love him enough? It was such a worry for me."

On The Impaulsive podcast, he mentioned that despite his busy career, he always tried to prioritize being there for his son.
