Despite the fact that they didn't win the show, the became one of the biggest boybands in the world and shot to international fame soon after the show finished.

Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the band in March 2015 and One Direction went on hiatus in 2016, with all members enjoying successful solo music careers.

Liam was holidaying with his girlfiend in Buenos Aires when he tragically fell from the third floor of a hotel. The couple had been enjoying an extended stay in Argentina following Liam's appearance at Niall Horan's concert.

Initial autopsy results for Liam have revealed that the singer pass away due to "multiple traumas" resulting in "internal and external bleeding". According to preliminary findings, the results are consistent with injuries sustained from a ten-metre fall, reports the Mirror.

Further toxicological and anatomical-pathological analysis of Payne's blood and urine is underway to determine if any substances were present. Additionally, investigators may request the singer's medical history to assess his mental health background.
