Liam Payne's X Factor ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer shares heart-breaking statement

Liam Payne's former partner Danielle Peazer has spoken out about her grief following the star's death.

Liam, one fifth of One Direction, successful solo artist and father, tragically passed away at the age of 31 after falling from the third-floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday October 16th.

Liam was catapulted to fame via Simon Cowell's TV show X Factor, with One Direction being formed in 2010 in from of audiences eyes on the series, which is where he met Danielle.

His first public relationship was with with dancer, and they were on and off from 2010 to 2013 before officially calling time on their romance according to reports.

At the time, their increasingly busy schedules were reported as a reason for the split.

The two seem to have remained amicable since parting ways, being snapped at the Soccer Aid Aftershow Bash in London together in 2022.

Posting to Instagram, Danielle spoke against the "misinformed comments" that have surrounded discussions of his life.

She said:" Over the last few days I’ve been trying to process the news of Liam’s death. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to call, text, or DM sending condolences and offering support. I’m so grateful and it’s helped more than you know."

"In time I will share more, but right now I don’t feel mentally strong enough to face the reality of what’s happened."

Touching on her grief, she said: "Like all of us, I too am grieving, and need to take some time to do that privately. It’s a heart-breaking time, which has already been made so much more challenging due to receiving negative and misinformed comments as well as pre-conceived judgement from those who don’t personally know me, Liam or anything about our relationship over the last 14 years."

"I will be back soon when I’m ready, but until then please take care of yourselves and each other."

Liam's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has also shared her deep loss following his passing.

Liam had spent time in the Argentinian capital with girlfriend Kate for some time, however she flew home to Florida before his tragic passing.

The influencer, who had been dating Liam since 2022, made a statement via social media this week.

Posting on Instagram, Kate wrote: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way."

"I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you’ll give me the space to navigate this in private."

"Liam, my angel, you are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."
