According to the Mirror, the local ambulance manager told TN: "At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel. At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation."

In recent weeks, Liam has been documenting his travels in Argentina and attended the concert of his former bandmate, Niall Horan.

The UK singer rose to fame during X Factor when he was matched up with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan to form boyband One Direction, which went on to become one of the biggest bands in the world.

They went on hiatus in January 2016 after Zayn Malik left the group in March 2015. Liam as well as his former bandmates have all enjoyed success as solo artists.

Liam also had a public relationship to Girls Aloud singer Cheryl. The couple welcomed a son together, Bear, together in March 2017 and more than a year later announced their breakup in June 2018.
