The Three Lions suffered an embarrassing collapse in their second innings and set only a 36-run target which Shand Masood's side chased down before lunch on Day 3.
Despite a big loss, England remain sixth in the updated World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. With the 40.79 points win percentage, Ben Stokes-led England are placed sixth in the WTC points table while Pakistan overtook Bangladesh to jump to the 7th position.
Pakistan registered their only fourth win in ten matches in the ongoing 2023-25 cycle to gain a position in the updated points table. England suffered their nine Test defeat in this cycle, the most by any team, and have already been knocked out from the race for the final.
Indian cricket team stay on top despite losing their opening Test match against New Zealand last week. India have won 8 of their 12 matches in the ongoing WTC cycle and boast a stunning points-win percentage of 74.24. The defending champions Australia are placed second with eight wins in 12 games and are tipped favourites to qualify for the finals. West Indies remain at the bottom with just one win in their nine matches in the WTC 2025 cycle.
