Busted and McFly are joining forces for a massive UK arena tour as both bands hit the road for a string of dates

Fans of Busted and McFly should get ready for the gig of their dreams, as the two bands are going head to head for a huge arena tour.

It's been 22 years since Busted first made their chart debut with What I Go To School For, before Matt, James and Charlie racked up a whole host of huge hits, including number 1s Crashed the Wedding, Thunderbirds are Go and Who's David. Arriving on the scene nearly two years later, McFly hit the top spot with their first two singles Five Colours in Her Hair and Obviously, before also having great success with All About You, Star Girl and I'll Be OK.

And now, after both bands have had their own arena tours in recent years, Busted and McFly are joining forces for a string of dates next year.

They will kick the tour off in Birmingham at the bp pulse Live arena on September 16 2025. The tour will then hit cities including London, Cardiff, Sheffield, Leeds, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Manchester, Dublin and will then wrap up at Belfast’s SSE Arena on October 21.

The Busted v McFly arena tour will arrive at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on October 10 next year, with tickets due on sale HERE from Friday, October 18.

Talking about the tour, McFly commented: "Busted gatecrashed our show (not cool), and challenged us to a VS tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year. We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better – P.S Busted Suck.

Busted fought back and added: There’s been a lot of talk recently…. This is where the talking ends….! We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted Rock!"
