After the resounding success of the April 2024 show - Comic Con North East is back in Newcastle for round two sooner than expected.

Monopoly Events has announced they will be bringing Comic Con back to Newcastle. Fans won't have to wait 18 months for the next show as instead it will take place on the Halloween weekend, on October 26 & 27 at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.

Andy Kleek, CEO of Monopoly Events said: “The team at Monopoly Events see the potential of Newcastle. It is such a large, vibrant city, and it deserves a flagship event.

"We are putting our all into bringing pop culture fans of the North East quality events! We love the city of Newcastle, and the North East region, and both of our last shows here have been a real blast to put on for everyone.”

From guest appearances to cosplay masquerades, Comic Con North East will have something for everyone. The team will be getting in the Halloween spirit by booking some horror-related guests, with horror themed cosplayers, and a horror-themed after-party.

Previous years have proudly hosted the likes of Jenna Coleman, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman, Nick Frost, James Marsters, and many more, and as they prepare for the next event, they aim to bring Newcastle even more top talent to follow such success.

So far, the 2024 show will welcome actors from a wide range of franchises such as The Vampire Diaries (Paul Wesley), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Emma Caulfield and Marc Blucas), Red Dead Redemption (Roger Clark and Rob Wiethoff), and Gavin & Stacey (Mathew Horne) to name a few.

Aside from top of the range of celebrity guests partaking in professional photo opportunities, meet and greets and autograph sessions throughout the weekend, fans can also expect Interactive Workshops led by industry professionals covering comic book writing, cosplay crafting and special effects make-up.

Plus there will be a range of panels, family-friendly activities and a Gaming Zone filled with the latest video games, board games and tabletop games.

Comic Con Northeast will also feature Artist Alley showcasing one-of-a-kind pieces for sale and Exhibitor Hall selling collectibles, apparel and more. The highly anticipated cosplay contest is also back for those dressed to impress.

Monopoly events attract over ten thousand fans annually to shows - and Newcastle promises to be an epic weekend that will continue to grow and evolve Comic Con North East as a place to proudly celebrate community fandoms, discover new ones, and, most of all, have fun.
