Jeremy Clarkson has recently spoken out concerning his health after he underwent a crucial heart operation. The star of "Clarkson's Farm" divulged harrowing details to his fans, sharing how close he had come to death before emergency surgery intervened, fitting a stent after being just days away from potentially fatal consequences.

At 64, Jeremy experienced what seemed like an acute heart attack, this after feeling unwell during a holiday and then witnessing a stark decline in his health once home. Assuring his concerned followers, Jeremy stated: "I'm very grateful to everyone who sent supportive messages but I'm fine."

Known for his wit, Jeremy humorously relayed advice from his doctor to The Sun: "I just have to not do any manual labour or dishwasher emptying for the next four years. At least I think that's what the doctor said."

The revelation first came to light in Jeremy’s column for The Sunday Times where he recounted: "I was at the breakfast table and when I stood up to leave, I had to take a moment to make sure my limbs were working properly."

Jeremy recounted feeling "clammy", experiencing "tightness in my chest" and "pins and needles in my left arm". Upon hearing about former Scottish first minister Alex Salmond's fatal heart attack, he was prompted to visit his doctor, reports the Mirror.

After being transported to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by ambulance, a series of tests including an electrocardiogram (ECG), blood work and X-rays determined he hadn't suffered a heart attack. In the operating theatre, further assessments revealed he was "days away" from serious illness, with one artery completely blocked and another on the verge.

He shared, "It seems that of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way."

The critical decision facing the doctors was whether an emergency heart bypass was necessary or if less invasive methods could clear the blockage and allow for stent insertion. Fortunately, the latter option was successful.

Jeremy described the procedure as not "especially painful. Just odd."

and reflected on his near miss upon returning home, thinking: "Crikey, that was close."

Known for his frank discussions on health, Jeremy has voiced concerns about his mortality, admitting: "I don't have long left."

Moreover, he has acknowledged issues with his memory and the fear of developing dementia.

Despite this, he's not slowing down and is currently busy with the production of a new season of Clarkson's Farm at his Diddly Squat Farm.
