Prada, prep and cowrie shells: street style at London fashion week – in pictures

Never mind the shows, the streets are where the real peacocking happens. Here’s the best of what we spotted in the capital over the weekend

Ngozi Fulani, CEO of Sistah Space

What are you wearing? A lot of these pieces I’ve had for a very long time so it’s hard for me to remember, but I think the black dress is from Debenhams. The cowrie shells are from Ghana and the gold jewellery is available to buy from our Sistah Space shop in Dalston, London. What are you most looking forward to? The Feben presentation. She has been a big investor and supporter of my charity, which is a non-profit initiative created to bridge the gap in domestic abuse services for women and girls of African heritage.

What are you wearing? The jacket was made by my partner’s cousin, he is a Brazilian designer with a label called Von Trapp. The pinstripe shorts are from Cos, the bag is vintage and my Tabi shoes are Maison Margiela. What are you most looking forward to? I’m not going to any of the shows, but I’m a real fashion enthusiast. I love to walk around the city and experience the fashion week feeling with my friends.

What are you wearing? The top, jeans and hardware are all by the incredible designer Sinéad O’Dwyer. The top is a never before seen piece. It hasn’t ever been on the runway!What are you most looking forward to? I absolutely adore Karoline Vitto. At her show yesterday, it was really special to see a lot of my friends on the catwalk. I am also on my way to take part in Sinéad O’Dwyer’s presentation, I have done every single one of Sinéad’s shows since her debut. The brand is like a family to me now.

What are you wearing? I’m wearing a Prada shirt and skirt from a season pre-Covid, as well as a new Prada bag. The shoes are Dusan and the necklaces are from Monica Vinader, Annoushka and Tohum. My white sunglasses are Gucci.What are you most looking forward to? I would say Tolu Coker, Nensi Dojaka’s return and Karoline Vitto’s first ever solo catwalk show.

What are you wearing? These orange corduroy pants were thrifted, as well as the vintage Carhartt jean jacket. My sneakers are Adidas Originals Hamburgs and the vest is a hand-me-down given to me by my grandfather. The sunglasses are Dames New York and the fluffy hat was made by my good friend Gabbiaf from Poland. What are you most looking forward to? We just saw the Masha Popova show and that was really special. I’m new to the fashion show game, but I’ve come over from Brooklyn, New York to see what London has to offer.

What are you wearing? The hand felted jacket is NUDE:Masahiko Maruyama, the T-shirt is Hysteric Glamour and the polka-dot skirt is from Zucca. My shoes are Kids Love Gaite and the bag is Jean Paul Gaultier. What are you most looking forward to? Last night I got to see the Natasha Zinko show, which was great. The collection was inspired by plastic surgery procedures, which felt very poignant and of the moment. On Monday, I’m really hoping to get to see Mowalola.

What are you wearing? Today I am dressed head-to-toe in Kent and Curwen. The striped knit, blue shirt and kilt are from its AW24 collection. What are you most looking forward to? I have come to London specifically to see the SS25 relaunch of Kent and Curwen on the catwalk. I’m excited to see how Daniel Kearns (the brand’s creative director) presents its first take on womenswear.

What are you wearing? The shoes are old Prada, the bag is Marni and my hat is from Vaquera. The corduroy jacket is from Essentiel Antwerp and the skirt is Roake.What are you most looking forward to? The show I am undoubtedly most excited for this season is Simone Rocha.

What are you wearing? I’m wearing leather shorts from Coach and platform Crocs by Balenciaga. The sequin blazer and bag are both from H&M’s Innovation collection and the face mask is Maison Margiela. What are you most looking forward to? The shows from JW Anderson and Roksanda.

What are you wearing? The white cardigan is Comme des Garçons, which I’ve layered over the top of a red Molly Goddard dress. The bow bag is Sandy Liang, pumps are Vagabond Shoe Makers and the sunglasses are Casablanca. What are you most looking forward to? I’m really excited to see what the designers Feben and Aaron Esh present today. I’m also looking forward to Richard Quinn, that is always a really beautiful show.

What are you wearing? I’m wearing a Supreme hoodie and Heaven by Marc Jacobs shorts. These Timberland boots were customised by the London-based artist Soldier. The rucksack is Off-White and the hat is Charles Jeffrey Loverboy.What are you most looking forward to? If I could give you three shows that I’m most excited to see it would be Burberry, JW Anderson and Jawara Alleyne.

What are you wearing? This amazing coat is by the designer Ashley Lloyd, it was kindly loaned to me. My suit and shirt are both from H&M and the brooch is Loewe. The shoes are from Asos and my bag and other accessories are from a fabulous black owned brand called LeyeLesi.What are you most looking forward to? I’m seeing Harri tonight and I’m very much looking forward to that. I also like to see what trends are emerging here in London. I’ve been seeing a lot of sheer skirts, which I’m loving.
