Kyle Walker's wife Annie Kilner supported 'soulmate' through scandals

She's a former model and the childhood sweetheart of Manchester City defender Kyle Walker.

But life for Annie Kilner, 33, hasn't been smooth sailing lately after the mother-of-four has allegedly served the England footballer divorce papers because she 'just can't forgive him for what he's done to her'.

Annie has instructed lawyers to begin legal proceedings as she prepares to fight for half the Manchester City defender's £27million fortune.

It's a far cry from what the couple once were, with the pair quickly falling for one another when Kyle was 18 while he was playing at his hometown club, Sheffield United, and she was a 16-year-old model.

The couple, who are now parents to four children - Roman, Riaan, Reign, and Rezon - secretly tied the knot in a small romantic ceremony at the end of November 2022 after 12 years together.

Walker allegedly had an affair with Ex on the Beach TV reality star Laura Brown in 2019 and went on to secretly father two children with Instagram influencer Lauryn Goodman.

The footballer had already been kicked out of his shared home by Kilner when Goodman revealed for the first time that she was having his baby. 

But, in June 2020, the Mirror reported that Kyle had popped the question to Annie with an epic floral proposal at her home. 

Kilner and Walker stayed together and married in November 2021 at Mottram Hall in Cheshire after he proposed with a £250,000 ring.

However, Walker then cheated on Kilner with Goodman once again, who fell pregnant with their second child - a girl called Kinara, who was born in June last year.

Kilner claimed that days before Kyle allegedly met Lauryn, she suffered a miscarriage, and was devastated when she claimed he confessed that the reality star was pregnant. 

In December, Goodman texted Kilner with a bombshell message to say: 'Hey it's Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.'

Kilner, who was pregnant at the time with their fourth son, confirmed they had split two weeks later - and Walker moved into a rented mansion near their shared home as he tried to repair their relationship.

He told The Sun at the time: 'What I've done is horrible and I take full responsibility.'

He added: 'I made idiot choices and idiot decisions.'

Kyle also came under fire in 2020 for allegedly hosting a sex party with two escorts while the country remained in Covid-19 lockdown.

It was claimed the footballer and a friend, paid £2,200 for Louise McNamara and a 24-year-old Brazilian call girl to visit his Cheshire home, before leaving the next day.

Walker later issued an apology for the incident.

He said: 'I want to take this opportunity to issue a public apology for the choices I made last week. 

'I understand that my position as a professional footballer brings the responsibility of being a role model.

'As such, I want to apologise to my family, friends, football club, supporters and the public for letting them down.'

This month, Annie served the England footballer with divorce papers because she 'just can't forgive him for what he's done to her'.

The documents were served to Walker ten days ago, and MailOnline understands Walker had moved back into their family home in Cheshire - but not into Kilner's bed.

The 34-year-old footballer, who earns an estimated £175,000 a week, is said to have been sleeping separately from Kilner in a room on the third floor of the house.

As their tumultuous relationship hit a new low, a source told MailOnline: 'Things are as bad between them as they have ever been. It wasn't like a normal marriage.

'They have barely been speaking to each other. She is divorcing Kyle because she just can't forgive him for what he's done to her. She can't get over it. She has tried.

'Kyle seems to have accepted it's over. He's been happier in the last week or so. Like the weight of the world's been lifted from his shoulders.'

One insider told The Sun: 'Annie is prepared to go through with it [divorce]. She isn't messing about and has spoken to lawyers about what the future looks like.

'Divorce has been an ever-present threat all year but things are starting to come to a head.'
