Tesco announce Christmas meal deal range as FOUR popular items return

Tesco has announced its Christmas Meal Deal range - which will see eight new mains and sides joining the lineup, as well as the return of three festive fan favourites.

Available in stores and online from Monday 21 October, Clubcard members can get their first taste of Christmas with a festive main, snack and an additional drink for just £3.60.

Experts at the British supermarket chain have carefully curated this year's new range, bringing a variety of traditional flavours and great quality ingredients together to cater to all tastes and preferences. 

Whether you're craving the smoky flavour of pigs in blankets, the buttery, aromatic taste of turkey breast, or the rich tang of gravy, Tesco has got you covered with its assortment of seasonal sarnie, wraps and sides. 

The Christmas Meal Deal range will see a number of wraps and sandwiches making their debut, including the new Tesco Christmas Cracking Currywurst Sub, available for £3.00 on its own.

A hearty nod to German Christmas markets, this sub is filled with juicy pork sausage, smoky caramelised onions and tangy curry ketchup, wrapped up in an egg-glazed sub roll.

Next up is Tesco's £3.25 Ho-Ho-Hog Wrap, which features low-cooked pulled pork seasoned with fennel and garlic, paired with rosemary gravy mayo and a crunchy apple slaw and wrapped in a tortilla.

For non-meat eaters, Tesco's new £3.00 Plant Chef Christmas Veg Fest Wrap is inspired by festive leftovers, featuring roasted carrots, parsnips, and spiced red cabbage, topped with vegan gravy mayo and tucked inside a spinach tortilla.

A gluten-free option is also available, as the new Tesco Gluten Free Festive Chicken & Trimmings sandwich joins the lineup, available for £3.40. 

This sarnie brings the taste of Christmas through tender chicken breast, layered with pork, sage and onion stuffing mayo, cranberry sauce, all sandwiched between two slices of seeded gluten-free bread. 

Meanwhile, returning to the Meal Deal's range of festive mains is the ultimate fan favourite: Tesco Turkey & Trimmings Sandwich, available for £3.40.

This classic sarnie is packed with tender turkey breast, sausage, sage and onion stuffing, and beechwood smoked bacon, layered with mayo and cranberry sauce and served on malted bread.

For Clubcard members who wish to elevate their lunchtime pick-me-up, Tesco has launched three new Premium mains to its Christmas Meal Deal range, and for just £5, shoppers can combine a Tesco Finest main, a side and a drink. 

Joining Tesco's Premium mains is the £4.25 Chicken & Bacon Wrap with Gravy Mayonnaise Dip, which offers a twist on the traditional Christmas dinner.

The wrap includes succulent chargrilled chicken breast and maple-cured bacon, paired with a tangy cranberry chilli chutney and wrapped in a soft, bar-marked tortilla. 

In addition, the £4.50 Tesco Festive Chicken, Bacon & Stuffing Mayo Baguette features seasoned chicken breast, beechwood smoked bacon, sage and onion stuffing mayo, and cranberry sauce.

The third main joining the Premium range is the £4.25 Tesco Finest Turkey BLT - but this classic combination contains a transatlantic take on a sandwich staple.

Inspired by New York delis, the sandwich features pastrami-style turkey, maple-cured bacon, Emmental cheese, and tangy gherkin mayo, all served on rye and caraway bread.

Joining Tesco's assortment of Christmas Meal Deal snacks and sides - all priced at £1.50 individually - are the Mini Christmas Bangers with Gravy Mayo Dip.

These cocktail sausages are made with pork, apple, and cranberry and served with a rich sage and black pepper mayo dip on the side for a herby, festive finish.

Additionally, Tesco has introduced Christmassy Chicken Bites with Festive Cranberry Dip, which features tender chicken bites, seasoned with stuffing and accompanied by with a zesty cranberry dip for a true taste of Christmas.

Two popular products will be returning to the Meal Deal snack range, including Tesco Mini Pork Pies: two mini pork pies featuring seasoned cured pork, sweetened dried cranberries, and cranberry sauce wrapped in a crisp hot water crust pastry.

Meanwhile, shoppers can enjoy the iconic Christmas flavour of pigs in blankets with Tesco Pig in Blanket Sausage Rolls, which includes pork sausage meat wrapped in smoked bacon and encased in flaky puff pastry and sage and onion seasoning.

It comes as after Aldi launched its indulgent Christmas range earlier this month, filled with old favourites and appealing new additions - and, from the 21 products announced, FEMAIL have selected the top five best buys.

While the German-born supermarket has everything you need for a traditional yuletide meal, it has also launched interesting alternatives to spice things up.

'Party food' is a prime example of where Aldi wasn't afraid to go off piste, with the retailer now serving up Breaded Chicken Doughnuts, Bao Buns and Wagyu Beef Sliders amongst other finger foods.

And while Aldi has announced 21 Christmas products this month, there's still much more to come.
