Fans think Lana Del Rey 'denied' her romance one month before wedding

Fans are going wild over Lana Del Rey seemingly denying her relationship with alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene - just weeks before she walked down the aisle with him.

Speculation first started to swirl that the musician, 39, and the Louisiana-native, 49, were dating when they were spotted holding hands while out in England on August 25.

Days later, the Summertime Sadness songstress addressed the rumors that they were romantically entangled on Instagram.

She commented on a post that said, 'Update on Lana Del Rey's new man, Jeremy. According to Pop Crave, it looks like Jeremy, Lana's new beau, is an alligator tour guide... who also recently separated from his wife.'

Lana simply wrote, 'No,' and while it's unclear what part of the post she was replying to, many people took the message as her telling the world that they were not a couple.

But less than a month later, DailyMail.com exclusively obtained images from her and Jeremy's wedding on Thursday.

The couple exchanged vows by the water in Des Allemandes, Louisiana - the same bayou where Jeremy operates his popular swamp boat tours.

Soon after the photos came out, many social media users were quick to point to her alleged denial last month.

One fan shared a screenshot of her comments alongside a snap from the wedding and wrote, 'Lana Del Rey is honestly so funny for this please,' and it quickly went viral.

'Lana marrying that guy after denying they were dating last month? I'm dying,' someone else wrote on X.

'She met him like yesterday, then she denied dating him, now she's married to him,' another person jokingly tweeted. 'This is so Lana Del Rey coded.

'This Lana Del Rey thing has me dying because she literally denied dating him like a week ago,' a fourth tweet read.

A fifth said, 'Lana Del Rey got the ultimate poker face - denied it.. then dropped a wedding bombshell.'

'After being a Lana fan since 2012 this is VERY on brand for her,' a different user added.

The singer - who is worth a reported $30 million - looked radiant as she walked down the aisle in a flowing white wedding gown.

The classic floor-length frock had an elegant ruffled neckline, a billowing skirt, and a modest train that dragged on the gravel aisle.

Her new husband, for his part, rocked a chic black suit, a white dress shirt, and brown leather shoes for their low-key nuptials.

Lana and Jeremy appeared to have met for the first time back in March 2019, when she took one of his air boat tours.

'She wanted to go on a boat tour because it's a big thing in Louisiana, but she never expected to fall for a gator boat captain,' a source told DailyMail.com earlier this month.

'When Lana revisited the area in May to perform at Hangout Fest, they were both single and they reconnected.

'He saw his golden opportunity and asked her out and they have been together since. She loves older men.'

Her relationship with Jeremy initially worried her friends, who were convinced they would dig up something suspect about the tour guide.

The couple exchanged vows by the water in Des Allemandes, Louisiana - the same bayou where Jeremy operates his popular swamp boat tours

But they soon realized he treats her well and gives her what she 'needs' from a partner.

'Her friends and team did some digging on him over fears he could be using her, but his business is lucrative and he doesn't need or want Lana's money,' the source added.

'They can see he treats her right and he's very, very low maintenance. He gives her what she is seeking in a man and is romantic.'

The wedding and the reception were held along the public harbor, with countless tables set up under massive white tents on the grass.

TMZ reported hours earlier that Lana and her new husband had picked up a marriage license on Monday, September 23. The license is yet to be returned and recorded.
