Carol Vorderman has predicted her age of death and revealed if she will be buried or cremated amid recent health woes.

The presenter, 65, who hosted this year's Pride of Britain Awards, admitted she's 'not remotely worried about dying as she's had a 'good life'.

In an interview with the Big Issue, Carol said: 'My best guess is 85. So that gives me another 21 years and a few months. And you think "How many elections is that?"'

Carol added that death doesn't scare her: 'It's a good life. Not remotely worried about dying. I'm slightly claustrophobic. I am definitely going to be cremated, having read those stories about people scratching the coffins.'

Making light of the conversation, she quipped: 'Put me in that fire baby.'

And now days after taking a step back after regarding the incident as a 'warning' to prioritise her health, Carol has revealed that she is going 'fine' but told how she knows she needs to slow down for the sake of her health.

Speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, she told The Mirror : 'I’m quite fine, I had all the checks and everything, but I can’t work seven day weeks anymore, so I’m going to centre on social media a lot more in the future rather than travelling up to London all the time.'

The former Countdown star added: 'I now switch my phone off for 12 hours a day. Like physically off. Tends to be over the night time hours.

'But it’s quite a good thing, you know when you just have it by the bed and you just reach out. I’ll just have a little look… Ahh, two hours later.'

Carol informed her fans of her decision to quit her radio show on Friday, telling her Instagram followers: 'Hello, I’ve got some news to share with you.

The presenter, 63, last week revealed that she'd quit her LBC radio show after she had experienced 'burnout' and found herself in hospital overnight

'After working 7-day weeks for as long as I can remember, I finally burned out just over two weeks ago and I ended up overnight in hospital.

'Luckily, after many scans and checks, we know that I don’t have any underlying health issues whatsoever.

'So, after a proper talking to from my family and my buddies, I’ve taken the health scare as a warning sign to slow down slightly and have decided to cut my work back to weekdays for now.'

Earlier this week, Carol ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived at the 2024 Pride Of Britain Awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday night.

The presenter, 63, dazzled on the red carpet in a silver figure-hugging gown that clung to her incredible curves.

The elegant long-sleeved number was adorned with hundreds of mirrored fragments and intricate sequins for extra sparkle.

Carol - who is returning as co-host for this year's ceremony - added a pair of metallic silver heels and a slew of chunky rings.

She styled her hair in bouncy curls and sported a full face of glamorous makeup, complete with glittery eyeshadow.

Carol will be joined once again by Ashley Banjo as her co-host for the 25th annual Pride Of Britain Awards.

Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks are on hand to host the red carpet, while GK Barry will be presenting online content at her very own bar during the event.

Taking place since 1999, the ceremony honours the achievements of truly remarkable people from across the UK and all walks of life - nominated by members of the public.

After a shortlist has been produced from the thousands of entries, winners are chosen by the Pride of Britain judging panel.

Ahead of the ceremony, The King and the Prime Minister Keir Starmer led tributes to the nation's unsung heroes.

The King called them 'the very best' of us, while Sir Keir said, 'They embody everything that is great about Britain'.

King Charles' words were included in a letter to King's Trust Young Achiever winner Molly Leonard, whose grandmother shed tears of pride as she read it to her.

In addition to praising Molly, he wrote: 'On this 25th anniversary of the Pride of Britain Awards, I send my warmest admiration to all of this year's winners. You each represent the very best in our society.'

The Prime Minister told the winners: 'Britain is proud of you'.

'For a quarter of a century, the Pride of Britain awards have celebrated the people who embody everything that is great about Britain. These are people from all walks of life, but they all have one thing in common. They're heroes.

'They may not be the cape-wearing superheroes we normally think of – in fact, they look just like the rest of us. But they do have something that makes them very special indeed. Bravery, determination, generosity, empathy and huge spirit.

'They have the power to touch our hearts, to make us hopeful, to make us proud. They're a testament to the incredible things people can achieve even in the face of hardship.'
