Nintendo confirms next console has backwards compatibility & Switch Online

Nintendo has not been saying much about what their next console will be. The only thing they have done is reconfirm that it will be revealed in this fiscal year. However, you may be happy to know that Nintendo has changed that pattern ever so slightly tonight, thanks to their financial results briefing. There, they announced 2 new details about their next hardware.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa officially announced on social media that “at today’s Corporate Management Policy Briefing, we announced that Nintendo Switch software will also be playable on the successor to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Online will be available on the successor to Nintendo Switch as well”.
